HAROLD BEACH
– Chemistry. Educated at Idaho Sate University, U of I and
Boise State. Hired in 1955 and stayed at the High School until
1967 when he became Principal of the Air Base Junior High. He
retired in 1987 and still lives in Mountain Home. He enjoys
golf, fishing and boating, He did take a fall in his boat
recently and broke a few ribs.

MERRILL BROWN-American
History. Received his education at Idaho, BSU and the College of Idaho
and was hired in 1963. He left the school district in 1978 and
taught at Glenns Ferry High School for a short time before turning to
full time farming. He lives in Hammett, Idaho.

CARTER—English II, III. Hired in 1962 and left MHHS
in 1966 when she move to Seattle, WA. Her whereabouts are
unknown at this time.

GEORGE
DONALDSON- Physical Education, Sciences. Grew up in
Emmett, ID and went to Boise Junior College where he played
quarterback on the National Championship football team. He went
to Eastern Washington University then graduated from the U of I.
He started teaching at MHHS in 1956 for 12 years then became an
elementary school principal until he retired in 1991. He lives
in Mountain Home but goes to Arizona during the winters. He
plays a lot of golf.

WILLIAM
COLVIN—World & American History. Hired by MHHS
in 1961 after graduating from the University of Idaho. He taught
for 31 years before retiring in 1993. He is currently living in
Pasco, WA where he drives a taxi cab for the fun of it and is a tour
guide on a senior citizens tour bus.

GIBBONS—Math. He grew up in Gooding, ID and
graduated from the University of Idaho on 1962. He was hired by
MHHS that year and taught until retiring in 1996. He is now
working on a farm and in a computer shop part-time and still
lives in Mountain Home.

FRED GIFFIN--
Math. Graduated from Black Hills Teachers College in 1956 and
was hired that year by MHHS. He received further education at
the College of Idaho and the U of I. He retired from teaching in 1993
but continued as a drivers education teacher until 1996. He died of
cancer on Sunday, July 9, 2000

HECKMAN— Math. Graduated from Nebraska State in
1960 and hired at MHHS in 1960 where he taught until 1967. He
taught math and computer programming at Kearney High School in Kearney
Nebraska from 1968 to 1996. He then worked at Educational Service Unit

in 1948. She took a leave from 1955-1960 and returned and
retired in 1984. She lives in Mountain Home where she is
active in the Catholic Church.

and her husband live in Mountain Home. They have a cabin at Pine
and enjoy four wheeling and snowmobiling.

Graduated from Idaho State University in 1959 and was hired by MHHS
that year. He had grown up in Brookings, ND and came to Idaho
while in the Air Force where he was stationed at MHAFB. He
became Superintendent of Schools in Mountain Home but retired in 1988
because of heart problems. He died in 1997.

Meridian High School until retirement. She currently lives in the
Boise, ID area.

He moved to Beaverton, OR where he taught school and raises
championship horses. He spends his winters in Lake Havasu, AZ.
